With approximately 5,000 attendees each year, the German Surgical Congress is the premier forum for surgery in the German-speaking world.
The DCK provides a platform for interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration among the various surgical specialties. By bringing together experts from a wide range of surgical disciplines, innovative ideas and best practices can be shared and further developed.
The latest research findings and technical advances are shared and discussed. The conference also offers numerous networking opportunities, allowing participants to forge new professional relationships and strengthen existing ones.
In addition, workshops and hands-on courses are offered, giving younger participants in particular the opportunity to directly try out and learn new techniques and procedures.
The conference serves as an important platform for discussing and addressing current challenges in surgery, such as access to high-quality surgical care for all segments of the population and the integration of new technologies into clinical practice.
In this sense, the congress is not only an event for sharing knowledge but also a driving force for progress in surgical medicine.
DCK.digital, which has been successfully held every year since 2021 and features the presentation of ePosters in the form of “Rapid Communication Sessions,” will once again be held entirely online for participants at the upcoming DCK (April 13–15, 2027).
From April 21–23, 2027, the DCK will offer a diverse program covering various surgical specialties.
